Princess Ember’s Sprinkle of Hope is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to give kids with cancer and their families a sprinkle of hope when they need it most by providing medical necessities, toys and gift cards.
Ember was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on January 21, 2016, at only 2 years old. Her cancer diagnosis was extremely difficult for our family and there were many challenges on her journey, one of which almost cost her her life. As if that were not enough, Ember’s mother, Sarah, was diagnosed with breast cancer on July 5, 2017. They would now be undergoing cancer treatment together. The two of them decided that something good had to come out of something so terrible and that is when they decided to start the Princess Ember’s Sprinkle of Hope foundation. Knowing firsthand what it is like to be diagnosed with cancer they wanted to help other childhood cancer fighters and their families.
My name is Sarah Miller and I am the founder/CEO of Princess Ember’s Sprinkle of Hope. My daughter, Ember and I have both been stricken with cancer diagnoses, which inspired the two of us to start this foundation. We wanted to turn something that was extremely challenging into something positive. We know that the initial diagnosis turns your entire world upside down so we wanted to help provide a sprinkle of hope for the families.
I was inspired to help start Princess Ember’s Sprinkle of Hope Foundation after personally seeing how childhood cancer/illness affects so many families and realizing the struggles that they endure with that life changing diagnosis. I love to give back to my community and provide hope to people who are going through trying times and this Foundation is the perfect opportunity to provide that ‘Sprinkle’ to families who need it the most.
